Éric Tendi

Space & Theater Technical Designer

In the early 1990s, Eric completed his studies at the Faculté de l’Aménagement de l’Université de Montréal, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in industrial design.

For three years, he exhibited at the Salon International de Design de Montréal (SIDIM) under the name of TENDI-RIOUX and won the 1993 Design Montréal SIDIM award of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Technology.

An electric chair appears, the result of his creation, in the film ‘‘BRAINSCAN’’, featuring Edouard Furlong.In Milan, he is involved in the design and development of exterior lighting fixtures as part of a study course.

In 1994, he partnered with a colleague and founded EKLOR DESIGN, specializing in the design of toys, shops, marketing products and shows.

In 2000, he was hired as a mechanical designer at Esterline CMC Electronics, where he designed and technically developed control keyboards for commercial and military aircraft.

Then, his creative talents are put to service wit various companies such as: BLOCO, DRAGONE, MOMMENT FACTORY, SHOW CANADA, CAVALIA and CELINE DION where he acts as associate set designer for “Céline Dion At The Colosseum Caesars Palace Las Vegas”.

From 1993 to 2018, at CIRQUE DU SOLEIL, in addition to his participation in the ALÉGRIA and O shows, he was given the drawing department supervision for the productions: LA NOUBA, ZUMANITY, The Beatles LOVE, WINTUK, VIVA ELVIS, MICHAEL JACKSON The Immortal World Tour and JOYÀ. In 2016, he was promoted to Designer, Space and Theatre.

Nowadays, Eric works as an independent designer.
