Geneviève Lizotte

Scenographer

Geneviève has worked as scenographer, costumes designer, artistic director and stylist for more than 15 years. In the theater field, she designed more than hundred productions and collaborated with several renowned directors among whom André Brassard, Claude Poissant, Christian Lapointe, Catherine Vidal, Jean-Guy Legeault, Fernand Rainville and René-Richard Cyr. She also conceived the following shows’ scenography: OxygènePélléas et Mélisandre. Les fourberies de ScapinEt Vian! dans la gueuleL’imprésario de Smyrne et Le malade imaginaire, L’idiot, Robin et Marion and, Les intouchables to name a few. Recently, Geneviève signed sets for Cirque du Soleil shows: Le Monde est fouTout écartillé, Reflekt and Saudi National Day.

She also worked on a foresta lumina design, Sakuya Lumina, with Moment Factory in Osaka, Japan. Geneviève was a CALQ grant recipient for a studio residence in New York in 2015.

As a visual designer, she worked on several Pierre Lapointe’s shows, among which La Forêt des Mal-aimésMutantes and Punkt. For the cinema, Geneviève signed, among others, the artistic direction of the movies Cash NexusLe Météore et Chorus (François Delisle, director), Bà Noï (Khoa Lê, director).
