Guy Brassard

Costume Designer

Guy Brassard possesses a solid experience in costume design. He begins is career as a technician  before opening his own theater/television/dance costumes shop at the beginning of the 90’s where he designs and fabricates costumes.

At the same time, he is also present in the fashion industry with his own man & woman collections.

In 1996, he begins a 17 years collaboration with Cirque du Soleil. Starting as a buyer for the organization, he is rapidly promoted to assistant for designers such as Dominique Lemieux, François Barbeau, Eiko Ishioka, Thierry Mugler, Stefano Canulli and Philippe Guillotel, with whom he collaborates for the creation of shows such as Quidam, Dralion, O, La Nouba, Varekai, Zumanity, Love and Viva Elvis.

More recently, Guy decided to return to design by signing the costumes for Moment Factory’s show for the Royal Caribbean company.

His competencies includes graphical, fashion and technical/sports wear design as well as textile design and applied arts. These elements combined make for an unique approach and style recognizable in all his realizations.
