Mélanie Royer (Productions InSaltö)

Choreographer, Acrobatic Designer

Mélanie was only three years old when she took up gymnastics. Only two years later, she participated in her first competition. Diving eventually replaced gymnastics in her life, and alongside this new sport, Mélanie took intensive dance classes. At only 13 years old, she prepared her first dance audition for Cirque du Soleil, and was recruited. Mélanie decided, however, to pursue her diving career and eventually competed in the Canadian Championships at age 17.

After these championships, she debuted in the entertainment sector and started a career (made up of diving, bungee, etc.) that spanned 15 years and brought her all over the world. Meanwhile, Mélanie also found time to win an international high-diving event held at the La Quebrada cliffs, in Acapulco, Mexico, in 2003.

After her stage career, Mélanie’s talent and experience naturally lead her to the creation of shows. She quickly stood out as a choreographer and acrobatic designer. She very recently debuted as a director.
