Nicolas Vaudelet

Costume Designer

Nicolas Vaudelet has been trained by some of the most famous names in the fashion industry: Christian Lacroix, Christian Dior, Louis Vuitton, Givenchy, Sonia Rykiel and Jean Paul Gaultier.

With the latter, he has worked on the design and development of the costumes for Madonna’s Confession Tour as well as for flamenco dancer Joaquin Cortes.

After a rich learning experience in Seville as artistic director of the centenary fashion house El Caballo, where he won in 2009 the L’Oréal award for the best collection, he created the costumes of the National Spanish Ballet, which brought him the award for best costume designer at the 2014 Max Awards.
That same year, he made a life-changing encounter, when he crossed paths with famous director Franco Dragone. Dragone asked him to design the 600 costumes in the Cabaret parisien du Lido’s wardrobe, then the costumes for “Taboo” 3 and 4 in Macao, for Russian singer Philipp Kirkorov’s shows at the Kremlin in Moscow, for “Daï Show” in XiShuangBanna, for park and hotel Rixos World in Turkey and for Holiday on Ice’s “Believe” ice show (directed by Christopher Dean).

Since 2017, Nicolas has frequently collaborated with the Cirque du Soleil and its special events division, 45 DEGREES. Indeed, he worked on the costume design for the “Helene Risher Tour 2017-2018”, the “Dubai World Cup 2018”, the “DIVA” show presented in Andorra during the summer of 2018, as well as the “SAND” show for the Saudi Arabia National Day, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Between projects, Nicolas takes time to design his own collections and dresses a number of cinema and show-business celebrities.
